Dr. Sophia Scantlebury attended Columbia University where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then went to the University of Florida where she received her certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dental Sciences with a specialization in orthodontics. She is board certified and has been practicing since 1998.
Dr. Scantlebury is a published author, having an article published in the New York State Dental Journal. She also shares her knowledge of dental health by lecturing at churches and PTA meetings, as well as schools and health fairs. To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Scantlebury is a member of the New York State Dental Association, the Second District Dental Society of New York, and the American Dental Association.
Away from the office, Dr. Scantlebury enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the beach.
