Scantlebury Orthodontics is offering free virtual smile assessments. So, you don’t have to leave the safety of home to get started with plans for Invisalign or braces.
What’s more, virtual consults are easy! After you submit some pictures of your smile, Dr. Scantlebury will review them and contact you with her professional assessment.

Safety Protocols to Keep You Safe
We’re following safety protocols, such as those recommended by:
- The American Association of Orthodontists
- The CDC, OSHA, and the ADA
- New York State Dental Association
- Federal and State guidelines
These recommendations help keep our orthodontic team as well as all patients as safe as possible. Also, since we are in New York, the measures go further than in many parts of the country.

Pre-Appointment Screenings
We’re screening all patients and staff for symptoms Covid-19 as well as any risk factors. Before you arrive, we’ll go over extra steps we’re taking, like limiting the number of people in our waiting areas. Also, we will check your temperature as part of the screening process.
Wearing Protective Equipment (PPE)
As the New York State Dental Association recommends, you’ll notice we’re wearing PPE, personal protective equipment. Sure, we look kind of funny, but behind the masks, goggles, and gowns, we’re the same friendly people.
Also, we may ask that you wear PPE as well. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Hygiene and Disinfection Protocols
At Scantlebury Orthodontics, we’ve always maintained a scrupulously clean office. However, now we’re going further with hygiene protocols. So, we’re taking extra steps to disinfect office spaces, such as:
- Using safety barriers
- Sanitizing all touched surfaces
- Washing hands and using hand sanitizer
- Wearing and changing PPE frequently
Also, we ask our patients to use hand sanitizer and wear PPE before entering the building. Fortunately, these steps are easy enough to follow as we keep each other safe.
